Busy Betty is at it again! In this Christmas story, Betty is ready to give all of her loved ones some really great Christmas gifts this year. The problem? She has no money! It’s no problem, though, because Betty is an entrepreneur. First, she thinks of a lemonade stand. Then she realizes that no one will buy lemonade because it’s winter and so cold outside. Then, she has the idea to make cookies to raise some money.
This book reminded me a lot of When You Give a Mouse a Cookie because one thing kept leading to another. Written by Actress and Entrepreneur Reese Witherspoon, Busy Better & The Perfect Christmas Present is simply delightful. Children will love reading page by page as Betty does one thing after another. Her dog Frank is absolutely adorable, too! The story is funny and cute. The illustrations by Xindi Yan are sweet, colorful, and as detailed as the story itself. Betty reminded me a little of the little girl in The Grinch. This fun story will get readers in the mood for Christmas and cookies!
